Download Dangly.
One universal build for every Mac. One installer for Windows. Nothing else to pick.
Download for macOS Download for Windows
Key takeaways
- One Mac build runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
- One Windows build covers 64 bit Intel and AMD machines, which is nearly every Windows PC.
- Neither platform needs an account, a license key or a subscription.
- Dangly isn't notarized or code signed yet, so each platform shows one security prompt on first run. The install guide walks through exactly what to click.
- Check for Updates in Settings tells you when a new version is out and opens it for you. Nothing installs itself in the background.
macOS
Needs: macOS 14 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel
A universal build: one download runs natively on Apple Silicon and on Intel Macs alike, nothing to choose.
First launch
macOS will say it can't verify the developer, since Dangly isn't a notarized build. Right-click the app in Applications and choose Open, then confirm once. It won't ask again after that.
Updates
Press Check for Updates in Settings and it'll tell you if a newer version is out, with a button straight to it.
Windows
Needs: Windows 10 or newer, 64 bit Intel or AMD
Covers nearly every Windows PC in use today.
First launch
SmartScreen may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel, since the build isn't code-signed yet. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
Updates
Same as macOS: Check for Updates in Settings tells you what's new and opens it for you, nothing runs on its own.
Questions
Is Dangly free?
Yes, on both macOS and Windows. No account, no trial and no paid tier.
Does it work on an Intel Mac?
Yes. The single macOS build is universal and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel, so it's the same download either way.
Will it slow my computer down?
No. It's a lightweight overlay that sits on top of your other windows and stays click-through outside Rage Room mode.
My antivirus or SmartScreen flagged it. What now?
Expected for now, since Dangly isn't code-signed yet. The warning is about that, not about anything the app does. The install guide covers the exact prompts on each platform.
